Adults
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological, emotional and relationship difficulties. These may have developed recently, perhaps following a significant life event, or may reflect longstanding patterns that have become difficult to manage.
How I can help
Some of the areas I commonly work with include:
-
Anxiety, panic, phobias and persistent worry
-
Depression, low mood and loss of motivation
-
Difficulties managing emotions
-
Relationship difficulties and recurring interpersonal patterns
-
The psychological effects of trauma, adverse experiences and difficult relationships
-
Eating difficulties and concerns about body image
-
Low self-esteem, self-criticism and perfectionism
-
Stress, burnout and difficulties adjusting to change
-
Loss, bereavement and significant life transitions
-
Sleep difficulties
How we work together
My approach is to understand how your difficulties have developed and what may be maintaining them, rather than assuming that everyone experiencing similar symptoms needs the same kind of help.
Together, we develop an understanding of your individual experiences and circumstances, which helps us decide what might be most useful — whether that is an initial assessment and consultation or further psychological therapy.
Contact
If you're considering psychological consultation or therapy, I offer a free, 20-minute introductory telephone call to discuss what you're looking for and whether I may be able to help. Please get in touch to arrange a convenient time.
